Junior Marksmanship Program

Our youth marksmanship program is open to the public and you do not need to be a member of MRPC to participate. NEW SHOOTERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME!

The Junior Marksmanship Program is a platform to introduce young shooters to the shooting sports. During the program, participants learn firearms safety and marksmanship. Many juniors from this program have gone on to compete at the state and national level. Several participants have also received college scholarships.

All necessary equipment for the program is provided by the Minot Rifle and Pistol Club. Equipment includes: firearms (small-bore .22 rifle, air rifle and air pistol), spotting scopes, shooting jackets and gloves, mats, slings, and eye/ear protection.

The program runs Saturday mornings October through April (check calendar for scheduling). Times are from 8:30am - 10am OR 10:30am until Noon at the Indoor Range. Participants must be at the Safety Briefing that starts at 8:30am or 10:30am to participate in that time slot.

The cost is $10 for the first child and $5 for each additional child (cash or checks are accepted). The program is open to both boys and girls, ages 8 to 20.
